Why designers test with live devices

Mobile-first does not mean mobile-only. The same page should read well on a 27-inch monitor, a 14-inch laptop, an iPad and a 390 px phone — each with its own navigation, type scale and spacing. Resizing a browser window is fast, but it hides comparison. Side-by-side device frames make breakpoint behavior obvious at a glance.
